Echinacea

This series started with a walk through my garden.
I was finishing up pieces for a solo show
at the Virginia Quilt Museum
and I needed to fill a big space.
The form of the echinacea standing tall throughout my yard said ‘Make Me!’.
Now I can’t stop. Each is set on a concrete form decorated to match the flower.
